all life on our planet evolved from bacteria and there are many beneficial forms of them that we can harness from an extensive variety of polycultural growth. from the foods themselves; mixing combinations of vegetables, roots and salt to cross nutritional enzymes then mixed with home-brewed kombucha create primordial tonic ... to ecological concerns; promoting rich natural resources free of commercial synthesis ... and our social connections; supporting those growing and culturing such things with qualitative integrity for fresh products and ideas. independently, these subjects have vast potential to culminate a wondrous growth ... but interconnected with each other, begins an exploration into new levels of infinity. crossing cultures between not only the food we choose to turn into our medicine and the lives we get to share with our compatriots helping create them, but the elements and environment we all exist within. polyculture focused beyond the truly amazing paradise we cover and fill with plastic waste.

these are cultured foods started from absolute scratch provided by the fine produce courtesy of Veenstra's Vegetables and Prairie City Farms, throughout the seasons they are available. while naming each salad, a coincidence arose where all began with the letter "m" and, combined with an affinity for classic science fiction and horror cinema, a conceptual take on standards of evolution helped create THE M STRAINS ...
